Ukraine War Archive has been working to preserve and catalogue digital materials for two years. For a while, our work was not public, because we were testing many instruments, perfecting and trying out functions, organising our team’s work. Now we are ready to open the curtain and share our developments which will be helpful for journalists, human rights advocates, civil activists, and public institutions.
In particular, we are presenting the Linse tool for researching Russian propaganda and studying Telegram channels, as well as the ‘trace original post’ function to see when and where a message was first published. We will also talk about working with large arrays of data, analysis and tagging, comparison and search for connections. Ukraine War Archive cannot bring anyone to responsibility for war crimes, but we provide tools that can help do this.
